Genova
Branding, visual identity, packaging design
The winemaker Marie-Brigitte at Clos Teddi asked us to create a new wine label for her Blanc de Noir vintage.
She wanted a modern look that captured the beauty of the landscape, accessible to a supermarket clientele but still unique enough to stand out on the shelves.
The key feature of the landscape is Mount Genova in the Desert d’Agriates (Corsica), where the winery is located.
Starting with the logo
We wanted the name of the vintage “Genova” to make a strong impact.
To achieve this, we carefully researched typography and went through dozens of ideas to arrive at this style.
On the label, it functions as a logo, and reappears multiple times on the packaging, such as on the cork.
the illustration and graphic layout
For the name of the domaine, “Teddi,” along with the vintage year, we chose a refined style. Both play a secondary role in the layout and add balance and subtlety to the design.
Each typographic choice was made with care, ensuring they work together to create a sense of both finesse and strength.
the printed finishes
Finally, the cut-out circle is really the star of the show.
It represents the sun transforming the landscape, accentuating the gold vines.
Since blanc de noir means white wine made from dark grapes, we wanted to convey the idea of transformation through the natural landscape at the heart of the message.
Using symbolic imagery, a muted, elegant color palette, and the right typography combo, we were able to craft an original design that represents the authenticity of the winemaker’s vision.
